Is it weird that the thing I want most right now is for Joseph to pee? He has been sitting on his potty chair holding it in all day. Started to poo, but it scared him and he quit. I know there is more to come. Why can't he just go and get it over with? Why is potty training so hard???
on a lighter note, Rachel came out of primary Sunday and told us that fasting is when you go really fast without food and water.

I love to hate potty training too. Last week Oliver potty trained. Day 1 - all accidents but one. Day 2 - half accidents, half on potty. Day 3 - all on potty but one. Today he's started telling US when he needs to potty! It will happen, just be patient. The light didn't really click for Oliver until about the end of day 2 on what we wanted him to do. He's just now realizing his body is telling him when he needs to pee a few days later.
I totally wanted to give up by the middle of day 2. I had promised myself that I would stick with it for 4 days and if he still was pretty clueless we would go back to diapers.
Oh, the trials of potting training. I found boys to be a little bit harder. A wise Bishop's wife told me many years ago not to train them to early. She said you wait until they are ready to go buy big boy pants and then the training will go fast. I found this to be true in general; but boys are sometimes a different matter. Blessings to you and have fun!!
found your blog on MMWB site. I love your family picture on the header! It makes me smile! Makes me miss my family (there are 7 kids). I can't say anything about potty training yet but I am not looking forward to that either. I will be doing that pretty soon for the first time and I don't know what to do.
Learning to use the potty and learning to drive.... the two worst parts of parenthood.
My brother did that too! He held his poo for 4 days... in the end my mom, the nurse, gave him an enima and sat with him screaming on the toilet til he did it... then he figured out that it wasn't that bad. (I'd tell you which brother but I bet he doesn't want me saying... hehehehe)
