Happy 25th Birthday!

 I have been a mother for a quarter of a century and everyday with this girl has been blessed. She is an angel and so good in every way. I could not be happier with my dearest oldest child and I pray that she will someday be blessed as I have been.

Ruth mostly does not eat anything with dairy in it, so for her birthday she requested all of the dairy desserts that she loves. Kate fulfilled her request and cooked like we were hosting a wedding. Here's is what Kate made:



39 chocolate tuxedo cupcake
26 cannoli cupcakes
28 mini cheesecakes
23 mini chocolate cheesecakes
1 strawberry cream cheese cake roll
Crepes with homemade chocolate pudding and whipped cream

The toppings included:
2 bowls of strawberries and bananas
1 bowl of blue berries
1 bowl of raspberries

Spring Walk by the River

 Ruth took anyone who could walk and follow instructions on a walk by the river, and these beautiful pictures were the result.

Eliza looked at this picture and said, "he cute, he cute."

Sam's Intuition

 
Sam came to me and Susan and asked, "Where do babies come from?"
I stuttered, "um, um..." or something of that sort. 
Sam quickly filled in, "I know. Do they come from your private?"
Surprised, I replied in the affirmative.
Sam then gleefully said, "Oh, wow. That must make your private really fat. It would make a private fat to have a big, big baby come out. It's a fat, fat private. Oh wow. It would be fat!"
I said, "Yes, but it goes back to it's regular size after the baby comes."
Sam then asked curiously, "Does that make blood come out of your private? Does your private bleed after you have a baby?"

So I was surprised at just how much he figured out about it all.

Eliza had been off playing and I was sitting on the floor playing cards with Susan. Eliza came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder. When I looked at her, she smiled, and said, "Hi."

Hidden in the mountains down…

…in a valley lives a town

Living happy here with me

Living happy living free

As I walked through at my pace

Noticed on the people’s face

No one had a single frown

“Welcome to Hapi Town.”

A smile here and a smile there

There was a smile everywhere

They shared and they cared.

To break a law they never dared

They were kind and very hospitable

To harm there guest seemed impossible

But unknown to me beneath my eyes

I was in a town of lies.

Now this may seem to be folly

The town was truly melancholy

Sorrow sunk deep within

Secret regret of all their sins

Instead of fame they lived in shame

With no one in the world to blame

No one to blame but they

Who created disaster every day

They were sure they’d go insane

So to block away the pain

They painted their frown away

And drew on a smile every day

Here looks like a happy place

When you put on a happy face

Doesn’t matter what they say

People like you better that way

Doesn’t matter if its fake

Be sure to smile while you're awake.

Just close your eyes and forget

Every deep and dark regret.

When I found out their deeds

All their rules and all their creeds

When the people knew I had known

It wasn’t just scorn they shone

For they concluded what was best

Was to do in their own guest.

And as I was to meet my demise

These simple words flashed before my eyes

They had made a welcome sign

I read the words before I was dead,

“Welcome to Hapi Town.” it said.

What Eliza Wanted

   

 

John went into the bathroom and Eliza grabbed up his shoes and placed them right in front of the bathroom door because she wanted John to take her on a walk. John was charmed and lifted her up onto his shoulders and took her on the walk that she wanted. 

Hulk Conversation

     

 

I watched The Hulk 2008 movie with Sam and Gideon and they had two funny conversations that they had running through most of the movie. The first, they discussed the "fact" that the real Hulk has purple underwear. They both said that it was not the real Hulk unless he had purple underwear. Everytime Bruce Banner turned into the Hulk they looked closely at his underwear line and talked about whether or not he had purple underwear. They said that it looked like it might be purple. Then at one point in the movie, the girl buys Bruce Banner a very large pair of purple boxer shorts, which satisfied both Sam and Gideon. They said. "That's his purple underwear. He IS the REAL Hulk!"

    

The other conversation that ran through most of the movie was the Hulk's love life. They asked me if the Hulk had a girl that he loved. They said that he should have a girl that he loves. When the right girl appeared, they both declared that they "KNEW"that was the girl that the Hulk loved. They asked me if the Hulk was going to marry her and they discussed how it might be dangerous for the girl because when he turns into the Hulk he does not remember what he does, but they also concluded that he should marry the girl that he loves.
