- No job notices, though John is applying for about 5 jobs a week. There is less stress now that John is getting unemployment. That is slowly starting to accumulate and we should be able to make our June and July bills.
- I had a busy week. On Tuesday, I ran a whole bunch of errands. John came to help me with the little kids. That made the trip easier. On Wednesday, I had a meeting at the Capitol Building for a Marriage Coalition and then had to run over to Layton for my midwife appointment. On Thursday, I volunteered in Rachel's classroom and then we did a picnic dinner at the splash pad for the kids. Friday was a big clean the house day. I made the 4 oldest kids clean one bathroom together. I am astonished on how much complaining I got from that. Saturday was my wedding anniversary.
- Ruth relaxed all week except when I made her do a few chores. She only left the house Saturday morning for stake young women's camp prep. She now needs to get serious about getting her summer health and fitness class in and finding a job.
- Kate did about the same as Ruth, only she complained more when I asked her to do chores. This week, I need to get her on a good schedule. Ruth and Kate did arrive home from Wyoming pretty late on Monday and Kate had developed a big case of hives so I was pretty easy on them.
- Johnny and Kate built a pretty awesome lego space ship for a lego contest. They did a really good and are among the top 20 highest rated ships.
- Adam has been sucking his finger. He did that as a toddler and quit at 5. He has taken that up again. To convince him to stop, I have been making him clean the living room every time I see his finger in his mouth. I am not sure if it is working, but our house has been nice and clean. It's a good excuse for constant slave labor :).
- Rachel went running with John. She has the most stamina of all of our kids and she is good and fast too. The only thing we found is that if Rachel does not want to run, she absolutely will not.
- Anya has been setting up and playing with her toys a lot. Arwen has particularly enjoyed having Anya to play toys with her.
- Joseph has been pretty aloof. I have been tired and busy and he has been his own busy. I need to make sure I get some real time in with him this week. He hasn't destroyed anything at all and that is definitely progress.
- After seeing Kate and Johnny's lego ships, Josh has been building space ships with his big wooden blocks. He wakes up before the rest of the family, comes downstairs and begins block construction.
- Arwen sets the table with dishes whenever she wants a meal.
- I am 38 weeks along today. I am also having contractions all the time, but nothing regular. This is the part of the pregnancy that I hate the most-- always. Often I have compared myself to "Mayzie the Lazy Bird Hatching an Egg"..."I'm tired, and I'm bored and there are kinks in my legs". This time has been harder than past pregnancies as I have been dizzy, extra tired, and faint a lot. But I can do this. Just 2 more weeks and then I get to meet our dear little Susan.

I absolutely love the picture of the kids reading books together on the couch... so cute!
I always love the updates and it is fun to see how your children are progressing and what they are up too. Still praying your hubby finds a job and that you have an easy delivery. You are amazing. I don't know how you do it all especially on that day you went to the Capitol.
Blessings for you!

Adam back with is finger reminds me of you. I will tell you he won't stop until he is ready, no matter what you do......you sucked your thumb during your teen years, but not during I think around 6 you quit and then started again. As a parent it can be very frustrating, just love him....he must need the comfort it gives him. After all your life is turned up side down right now with John out of work and the stress of finding a job. Dad and I still think he should look in NC when you come out.
