This week on Friday we celebrated Elder Cherrington's birthday during games night. On Saturday we helped out the elders with their baptism and then the Brays as their daughter Kaylie turned 8 and was having her baptism! Kaylie is one of my favorite kids here every time she sees me she hugs me and asks when we are coming over again!
On Wednesday we had a miracle. So before Christmas we left our flat early to go to an appointment which did not happen and on our way back God prompted me to speak to the people we saw because we are never out before 9am. Well the last one happened to be this boy from South Africa named Brian. It was his first year at school and he was going to be going back to Cambridge with his family the next for his holiday. We talked to him and I was prompted to share Helaman 5:12 "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."
Brian was touched and then we shared that it was from the Book of Mormon and shared about how it
was another testament to the bible about Christ. We gave him a copy and invited him to read and pray about it over the break and meet with us when he came back. This week he came back. He had read the introduction and agreed to meet us on Wednesday. He is Christian but his family is not connected to anyone church and currently are looking for one. We shared with him about the restoration and when we shared the first vision he was visibly touched. He just kept saying hoe amazing it was. Brian agreed to study, ponder, and pray about the Book of Mormon that night and to pray about it and about baptism. He then asked when we could meet again and told us that he had already told his friend about us and his friend wanted to meet us as well, so we will be seeing them both this Wednesday!
Cool thing is our new district leader is also from South Africa, so he will meet Brian as well!
I really know that this church is true. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and the priesthood of God has been restored for the benefit and blessing of his children! I know God loves us and the Book of Mormon is a testament that he still speaks to us and always will as he did before!
Oh it is cold out here sometimes. Generally this winter has been mild which is a great blessing! England has such green winters! None of the trees have leaves but they are covered in green moss and green ivy!

Wow, I do love the miracle Ruth had with Brian I will look forward to reading how the meeting with the two friends goes. It’s even a tender mercy that the new District leader is from South Africa too. I love these stories.
Blessings and hugs for Ruth!
