This Week at Our House #26

  1. We had a much quieter week. John has been spending all of his time trying to develop apps to sell. He works pretty much around the clock.
  2. My parents bought plane tickets for Ruth, Rachel, Anya, Arwen and I to go to Maine to be with my sister when she goes through the Temple.  John will stay home with the five other kids. All of my siblings will be there. I'm looking forward to seeing beautiful Maine and all of my family. We really haven't been together much as adults.
  3. Ruth is working on a Manga story board for a competition this fall. She's spending a lot of time in her room drawing and writing. She did it last year and came in third place. Ruth really is quite the talented artist.
  4. Kate bought a wii game and that has kept Kate, Johnny, and Adam too occupied. I am glad they are enjoying the game, but starting today our rule of computer and wii games are to only be played on Friday and Saturday is back in effect. I expect to see more of my children this week.
  5. Like Kate, Johnny has been disappeared on the wii.
  6. Adam has been disappeared on the wii too, but when he does show up, he always gives me a big hug. He's such a sweet boy.
  7. I had a box of Ruth and Kate's old clothes that I pulled out to see if there was anything nice for Rachel to start the second grade in. Rachel fit into a lot of really nice clothes that are still in perfect condition. I am so glad to have those for Rachel. She starts the second grade this coming Thursday.
  8. Anya and Rachel had let their room get pretty out of control. We pulled everything out from under their bed and in their closet, put it in the middle of the floor and Anya had to put it all neatly away. She did it. She did it reasonably timed and did not cry. I was impressed with Anya.
  9. Joseph had his forth birthday yesterday. Friday, he had a birthday party with some of his cousins. We went to the Church History Museum second floor for the kids to play, over to City Creek for them to play in the sprinklers, and then back to our house for legos and ice cream. It was a lot of fun. My crazy boy is 4 now. He loves to build legos, and play outside in water.
  10. Josh has turned from the cutest kid in the house, to a typical terrible 2. He shouts "no" to everything! He has also learned to open doors.
  11. Arwen can stand up without holding on now. She is walking around the furniture and eating more than one meal a day. Next Saturday is her first birthday! She has been such a sweet baby. I have LOVED this year with her.

I loved all of the pictures; especially the ones of the children sitting down in a row. You have an adorable family. I think it is awesome that you are getting to go home to Maine and be there for your sister's wedding.
Blessings!
