In fact, I listened to Elder Hollands April 2007 talk many times. Today I was feeling angry with Kate because she had lost a library book and her closet was such a mess, that it was hard to look through. I was about to say, "You kids are such slobs when I remembered Elder Holland's counsel not to criticize your children." So I didn't say that and I felt much better and found the book only a few moments later in another room. I brought the book to Kate and she was very grateful that I had found it for her. I am very grateful that I remembered that counsel when I especially needed it so that my daughter did not feel demeaned.

that is really good Diane. I hope I can remember things like that. I feel that when I read something it is so amazing or i hear a talk and i just love it -- and if i just read or listen to it once, I never remember anything. I have to read it so many times to retain ANYTHING, because once I get something down, I'm pretty alright...but for some reason actually remembering it is very hard. I took a lot of notes this last conference and of course felt that i got so much more out of it. Writing really helps me stay focused and remember later what was said. Not to mention I like to go back and look at my notes for a quick review. But I do agree -- conference was fantastic!!!! I loved it!
You are a better mom than me. James and Harrison wreck the house in about 2 seconds and it always drives me absolutely crazy and I lose my patience over it. I need to remember that talk. I have a couple of conferences on CD's and I listen to them, not everyday, but when I remember to. And I agree with you. I never get bored listening to them. I have heard the talks several times over and I always learn something new from them. I get so much more out of the talks.
