Trip to the Science Museum May 2024

 I have not taken my kids to the Free Raleigh Science Museum for over 6 years, so this was a new and exciting experience for almost everyone. We went on the way to visit my parents who live a 5 hour drive from us. We had not seen my family since last July, so it had been almost a year. 

All of the kids really enjoyed the museum. Eliza, who loves dinosaurs, got to see dinosaur bones for the first time. Johnny and Adam geeked out talking about all thing dinosaur bones and sci-fi movies with one of the teachers there. 

Arwen and Susan saw everything again for the first time. They really lived it. 

Joseph and Josh looked carefully and slowly at everything taking everything in.

This was a totally new experience for both Sam and Gideon and while Sam tends to get bored and complain a lot of field trips, he didn't complain once. There was so much to do and see and read about. Sam said that he liked the magnetic sand in the Discovery room the best. 

Rachel and Anya may have been a little less interested, but they still enjoyed themselves. 

Kate came too, but Ruth had to stay home to care for her bunnies and take care of John.

Bras and Farts

Bras Written by Ruth

Eliza picked up my bra and said "Is this your bra???"
"Yes."
"Oh! Hold on I'm going to go get mom's bra!" She then ran out of the
room turned around came back and yelled, "Don't close the door!"

Farts Written by Ruth
Arwen turned to mom and said "Mom, Sam farted."
Mom responded to the effect of why would she care or what does it
matter when arwen responded. "But you thinking farting is funny."
To which mom said: "Not when it's told in a tatttle-tale manner."

Eliza’s Dream

 Eliza woke up screaming last night and when I picked her up, she said, “A snake got in my dream. A snake is going to bite me.” In the morning she said, “ A black snakes was going to bite me and eat your ducklings.”

Yesterday Eliza did a little dance singing “I want candy. I want candy.”

She also yelled. “ I am not a baby and I am not cute. I’m just adorable.”
