Happy Birthday Arwen

Arwen is now 12 years old. And she is a perfect 12 year old girl. She is obedient, playful, kind, and interested in many things. Arwen likes antiques. For her birthday, she wanted to visit antique stores and get her birthday present from there. So many of the family members wanted to come along, that we ended up taking the whole family. We were out for about 5 or 6 hours and got home tired. So we rested an hour and then had Arwen’s chosen dinner of steak and sweet potatoes and then ice cream Sundays for dessert.

The next day, we had Arwen’s requested tea party. I think we had a lot of fun.

Arwen is a perfect doll and wonderful to have around.

Happy Birthday, Joseph

Joseph is now 15 years old. He is very intelligent. He’s really good with all things math. He’s learning computer programming and is good at that. He is a good writer. Joseph is also awesome with sarcasm. He is all sarcasm and arguments. Sometimes it can be annoying, but most times it’s pretty fun. Joseph is great that way for political commentary. Joseph sleeps like a teenager, and really fits everything typical teenage boy. He is just fun, and a real force in the family.

Wake Up Time

Eliza has taken it on herself to wake up the boys every morning. Every morning she says, "Adam wake up! Adam put your shirt on! Adam Put your glasses on! Johnny put your glasses on!"

But this morning Eliza said, "Adam, Mom said get into the car!"

Eliza has also been going to different kids at different times and saying, "Mom wants you." At first there was some confusion and now everyone comes to me and asks, "Mom, did you actually want me?"

Trip to the Zoo

On the way home from Grandma and Grandpa's House, we went to the zoo. Rachel and Adam stayed at my parents, so they did not go to the zoo, but we had everyone else except John and Ruth who were at home.

Personally, I liked the museum a whole lot more than the zoo. The North Carolina does well giving the animals nice places to live, but there were very few animals that we could see because their homes were so big or they were locked in door. Also there was a ton of walking. The Zoo closed before we could see the African animals, so that really stank and we had to run to the exit before we got locked out, and even then we had to catch a bus to take us back to our van that was parked on the other side of the zoo. Because we do not have phones and there were not a lot of people around, we did not know how much time had passed.

However, the kids report that they actually had a lot of fun at the zoo and they want to go back and get the African animals. We might be able to do that again at some point. Eliza was tired at the zoo and did not want to walk and did not want Johnny to carry her and was rather fitful. Maybe, we should have brought a stroller, but Eliza hasn't stayed in the stroller willingly since she could walk at 10 months, so I doubt that would have solved our problems. Johnny got a lot of exercise.

Now for all of our zoo pictures.
