One More Beach Day

 This was such a nice beach day. It was not a swim day. The water is cold now and there were a ton of jellyfish close to shore, but it was such a lovely day.

 Boy #2 is 19!!! He’s working on calculus and art history, and a few other things. He’s a big help at home and a sweet and good boy.

 We’ve exchanged fall festival for Halloween. We don’t trick or treat or trunk or treat, but we do take a day doing a lot of fun stuff together with a ton of candy. 

Susan’s Bad Dream

Halloween morning Susan woke up
"Is it Halloween today?" She asked.
"Yes it is."
"I had a terrible dream!"
"Oh?" I said genuinely sorry for her, "What was it about?
"It was Halloween and we didn't do anything! The kids played video
games the whole day and I didn't get to play! It was so boring and we
didn't do anything! It was terrible!"
I repressed my laugh until I was safely out of earshot.

Conversation John had with Gideon

Gideon and I often talk about the night sky, such as the stars. Gideon usually points out the moon. So I was surprised when the first thing that Gideon said outside was:

Don't go into space because ... zombies... Susan told me.
