Susan’s Bad Dream

From Ruth

Halloween morning Susan woke up
"Is it Halloween today?" She asked.
"Yes it is."
"I had a terrible dream!"
"Oh?" I said genuinely sorry for her, "What was it about?
"It was Halloween and we didn't do anything! The kids played video
games the whole day and I didn't get to play! It was so boring and we
didn't do anything! It was terrible!"
I repressed my laugh until I was safely out of earshot.

Conversation John had with Gideon

Gideon and I often talk about the night sky, such as the stars. Gideon usually points out the moon. So I was surprised when the first thing that Gideon said outside was:

Don't go into space because ... zombies... Susan told me.

From Adam

To wake up Gideon I pulled the pillow out from underneath his head
and he said very groggily without opening his eyes or getting up "Hey, you took my weapon."

Sam and Gideon Play

 A little story from Anya

Sam and Gideon were playing in my room while I did my school work. I heard this little bit of their game that I thought was rather funny.

Sam: The fire is a hundred feet tall!!!!
Gideon: Woah that's bigger than dad.

Tales from Eliza

Eliza was listening to John snore and had a conversation with Ruth about how Dad was roaring.

Susan was telling Eliza that she was cute. Eliza said, "no, no, no." Susan told Eliza that she was cute again, and again. The third time, Eliza slipped to the floor in a toddler fit. Susan and everyone in the room burst out laughing. Eliza looked around at everyone, realizing that they were laughing at her and got up on all fours and crawled away saying, "roar, roar, roar."

I gave Eliza a long think tootsie roll. She looked at it and said, "It's a nake. I eat a nake." She then took a bite and said, "It's a yummy nake." She then got off the couch and started doing a little dance in the middle of the floor and singing, "Yummy nake, yummy nake."

I gave Eliza a short fat and bumped tootsie roll. Eliza said, "It's not a nake." I said, yes, "it looks more like poop." Eliza liked that and said, "I eat poop. It's yummy poop." And she proceeded to eat it up. As Eliza left the room, I asked her what she just ate and she said, "I eat yummy poop."
