We've lived here 5 years and did not know about this place, but we do now and we went the past two Saturdays to walk on the trails, view the crabs, fish, and herons, and splash in the bay.

Oct 31, 2022 Fall Festival Celebration
We have not done anything more than candy for Halloween since 2017. I feel like the holiday has gotten dark and John can't any money being spent, though he doesn't like the idea of the kids missing out on Halloween. So this year, to have fun with my kids and to please John, I planned out a Fall Festival at our house for our kids. We had several different stations and fun things to do with the kids to celebrate. We also bought them lots of candy.
These were our stations. Ruth did a doughnuts on a string, blindfolded and without hands game, Kate made caramel apples with the kids, Johnny made slime from school glue and borax, Adam made ghost targets and did bb gun shooting with the kids, Rachel did a little fish for treats game, and Anya made masks with the kids.
We had a tough night the night before, so Sam and Gideon were too tired to really enjoy it, but I think they're already thinking on the day fondly and playing with their slime, eating their candy, and wearing their masks. I plan to do this again next year.
