Joseph Caleb Robertson

Joseph Caleb came really fast on Monday. The doctor started the pitosin at 11am and he was born at 1:12pm. That seemed really fast for even me. But I will take a nice fast labor over what I hear other people have to go through any day. I don't think I even had that many contractions this time around. My contractions were coming every three minutes until they broke my water and then I think I only had about 10 more contractions before it was time to push. So I would have to say that it wasn't so bad. I am also really glad that he is very healthy and so am I. I just didn't expect things to go so smoothly when I am 33 and have already had so many babies.

Joseph was my biggest baby weighing in at 8lbs 5ozs and 20 inches long. He looks a lot like me, Rachel, and Johnny. He is really calm. The other kids are constantly holding him and poking at him and he doesn't seem to mind at all. He is also a really good eater, and so far seems to only poop once or twice a day. Of course, since he is only 2 days old, all that can change. But right now, I feel real lucky to have such a sweet, easy going baby boy.

Tomorrow is the Day

I am being induced at some point tomorrow. You can tell that a lot of babies are born here in Utah Valley. Every where else I have been induced, they schedule me a day and an early morning time. Here they call you and tell you what time to come in. I got a call tonight that said if they do not call me by 10am to call them and they will get me in. But to expect a phone call around 8am. Right now, I am hoping to go in a little later so I have time to do the laundry and to clean the bathrooms. But I will take whatever I can get. I hate being 9 months pregnant!!! Seven little kids sounds easier than six kids and being pregnant. I look forward to being able to move again and to meet my new little boy!!!!!!

Rachel's Baby

Rachel has recently declared that she has a baby in her tummy and that it is a girl baby. Rachel explained that her tummy will get bigger and bigger. Then it will pop and she will have a baby girl and it will be a princess.

Some Catching Up

I have been really bad about keeping up with my blog recently. There are 2 big reasons. First, we are still living with my in-law's and our computer is not in a good place for me to use it around our children. Second, I have been searching like crazy for a suitable home for our family. I think I have found that, but I will blog about that when I know for sure what we are getting.

Well, here are some pictures with our updates. The top is: we do not get enough sleep at Grandma's!!!

These are my six kids at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. They are all so small. It surprises me that so many people can take up such little space. I was really glad that Ruth and Kate had an opportunity see a temple open house.

This is Anya with her cousins Grace and Ada. I love living near so much family. It will be fun to see what all these little girls are like together when they are 13.
Here is Rachel during the fourth of July family reunion having an unusual treat.
The next pictures are all at the Family Reunion Pine Wood Derby. Kate made her car to look like an icecream cone. I think it drove about as well as an ice cream cone. But I sure love my Creative Kate.
Here is Anya trying to make Grandpa nervous and upset. (I think she is pretty good at that.) She likes to put sand in the dog water, play with mud, pick flowers... and she understands about as well as any 18month old.)
Here are cousin James Morrise, Ruth, and Johnny with all of the amazing pine wood derby creations.

Johnny's car came in first at the pine wood derby. I guess he came up came up with a good design.

Things I do not have pictures of:

The fun fire works.
Lots and Lots of cousins.
Swimming almost everyday.
Grandma's sand box.
Movies with Aunts and Uncles.

I still need to get pictures of Adam and Mariah. They are so cute together.

I Just HaveTo Laugh

I just have to laugh at the CNN "breaking news" that I got in my inbox today.

"Michael Jackson's golden coffin is placed in front of the stage as his memorial service gets under way in Los Angeles."

"At memorial service in L.A., Michael Jackson's daughter Paris says he was 'the best father you could ever imagine.'"

Some sarcasm: Boy did I feel like this was urgent or important news.

Prince Adam

Adam's cousin, Mariah loves Adam. She calls Adam Prince Adam, and believes him when he says things like, "I can fly," even though she has never seen him fly. Mariah has also been calling him "Prince Adam". Today for the second time, Adam has informed me that I need to call him Prince Adam too. Each time I have asked him why. The first time, Adam said because it sounds better. Today Adam told me I have to call him Prince Adam because that is who he really is.

(I need to get some pictures of Adam and Mariah. They are really cute. But last I checked, Adam said that he is still going to marry Rachel.)

A conversation With Rachel

We walked to Bridal Veil Falls and then played up and down near the bottom of the falls today. I had a cute conversation with Rachel on the walk back to the car.

Rachel: What are we doing next?
Me: We are going back to Gramma's.
Rachel: Oh, can I come too?
Me: Yes, of course.
Rachel: I didn't like the waterfall.
Me (not quite sure what Rachel had said): Did you like the waterfall?
Rachel: I didn't like the waterfall. It scared me.
