ARGHHHHH!!!!!

After only 2 weeks of having our minivan fixed, It has broken down again!!!!!! We are not going back to the same place, maybe that is the problem. BUT, we are sooooo poor. Why can't we ever catch up? And it is not that I am just overspending all of the time. I have stayed under budget week after week after week, and often $150 under budget. That money should be savings! I do not know what more to do.

I really am grateful that our trials are ALL financial. We are all in good health-- and I mean really good health. We all get along and love being together. Really my life is great except for this one little thing.

John asked, what can be done? Well, if some one popped down from the sky and left us $10,000. If we got the girl's braces for free. If gas and food would suddenly go down 25%.  If it cost us $0 to have the baby. Something like that.

I understand! I am sorry, it is so hard... and frustrating. Selfishly I always thought that because we were committed to having a large family (and a good education) that this wouldn't be our trial. I understand. I am sorry. BTW what kind of minivan fits all of you? Will you be having to get a new car when the next one comes?

Hi Diane, I have been a reader for a little while and enjoy reading about your mothering, faith, and homeschooling. I'm sorry you've had so much trouble with your van! My husband, Jacob Nielson, grew up in the Robertson's ward so he knows that family well--we ran into Becca's blog, then checked out your blog. He also happens to be a mobile mechanic and runs his own business. He usually is quite a bit cheaper than shops and he can come to your house and check out your van. You can contact him at 801. 822. 3289. His business is The Car Whisperer--you can look it up on facebook if you'd like :) He would like to help!

Uuuugh! I'm so so sorry! I do think it's nice when finances are the biggest trial, but that doesn't make that trial easier. *sigh*

Oh, how frustrating! Those are the worst types of things to spend money on. Hoping your windfall is on it's way!!!

It's amazing that that usually seems to be our problem as well... it doesn't matter how much we make, we're always just a little behind... Someone will get a cavity, we'll have forgotten to register our car and have an unexpected couple hundred dollar expense, etc... sorry! But you're definitely not alone.

I so understand how you feel. When we were in your stage of raising our children I remember times just like this. It seemed like it went on forever. This too will pass; I promise. You are faithful and Heavenly Father will bless you. Your children will be blessed with many learning moments that will in the end be a blessing for them all.
Blessings to you and your sweet family.
